This is Eileen's personal HERBAL-ROOIBOS BLEND, experimenting with a little slight of hand over several months. A caffeine-free blend that contains Egyptian chamomile flowers, South African rooibos, peppermint leaves, natural vanilla flavor, and natural bergamot orange oil. The purpose of this blend is to conjure the illusion of Earl Grey to the taste buds. Many tea drinkers prefer herbal brews over decaffeinated true tea. Normally an Earl Grey Rooibos requires extra bergamot to compete with the stronger rooibos, and can be overpowering. With a little hocus pocus, substituting the proper percentage of chamomile/peppermint plus a tiny pinch of vanilla, creates a smoother base for the bergamot oil to perform it’s trick.
AVAILABLE AS: 1 LB BulkPack, 3 OZ Package, 4 OZ Tin
Package size is 3 ounces of full leaf tea, which yields approximately 20 cups. Tin size is 4 ounces which yields about 25 cups. Bulk one pound is available for about 100 cups.
BREWING: Two full teaspoons for every 8 oz of boiling 212°F fresh water. Steep for 5 minutes or longer to desired taste.
