The taste of the tea is very smooth, honey-like sweet and a bit nutty. The aroma is honey and orchids, with a full bodied fairly thick mouthfeel. Gong Mei is considered to be 3rd grade/harvest Fuding white tea, sharing elements with both Bai Mu Dan and Shou Mei. To review: 1st Grade - Bai Hao Yin Zhen (Silver Needles), 2nd Grade - Bai Mu Dan, 3rd Grade - Gong Mei, 4th grade - Shou Mei.
